Memory foam is made to sink. Every hour you sit, your body heat and weight press it down a little more, until there’s a permanent dent right where you need support and you’re back to feeling the chair.

HexFloat™ doesn’t sink, it flexes. Two stacked layers of honeycomb gel bend under you and spring back the moment you stand up. Press your palm into it and let go: it pops right back.

It also runs cooler. Foam traps heat; open honeycomb lets air through.

Day 0: unzip it and let it breathe. Your cushion travels sealed, so it may have a new-product smell when you first open it. Unzip the cover and leave it in a ventilated room for 12–24 hours before you use it.

Day 1: it will feel cool for the first minute, then warm up to you. It will also feel firmer than foam. That’s normal: the gel holds you up instead of letting you sink. Place it with the notched edge against the backrest, so the cutout sits right under your tailbone.

Days 2–3: give your body a couple of days to adjust to sitting supported instead of sinking.

By the end of the week: take the 5 p.m. test. Notice how you feel at the end of the day compared to before. When you stop thinking about how you’re sitting, it’s doing its job.

Tip: take it with you. It’s 16" × 13", and the non-slip base keeps it in place on office chairs, car seats, bleachers and kitchen chairs.

If HexFloat™ isn’t for you, email us within 30 days and we’ll refund you in full. No need to send it back: it’s yours to keep.

  • Fantastic product!

This cushion is an absolute lifesaver for truck drivers like me. It’s incredibly comfortable and well worth the high price tag, especially considering the long hours we spend sitting on bumpy roads across the country. The mesh design allows for excellent airflow especially for ventilated seats, keeping you cool and comfortable. I’ve used it for over a hundred thousand miles now, and it still holds up as good as the day I bought it. I even purchased a second one for my copilot, who rides and plays video games while I drive. She’s found it greatly reduces her back pain as well. I highly recommend this product to anyone who spends a lot of time sitting.

  • Cool cushion

This seat cushion exceeded my expectations. It's thick, supportive, and very comfortable for long hours of sitting. I use it on my office chair, and it has noticeably reduced the pressure on my tailbone and lower back. The gel design stays cool, and it doesn't flatten out after extended use. It also fits well on different chairs and stays in place. Great quality and definitely worth the purchase if you spend a lot of time sitting.

  • Very Comfortable!

We got this for my wife to use in her car since she spends a lot of time sitting while driving, and she really enjoys it. The gel is nice and thick and gives her some extra cushioning without feeling like she’s sinking down into the seat. She says it makes sitting in the car much more comfortable, especially when she’s driving for longer periods. I also like that it comes with the cover so the actual cushion stays protected. Definitely a good buy for us!

  • Thick and comfortable, making long periods of sitting much easier.

I use it for work, driving, and relaxing at home, and I particularly appreciate the extra support it provides during extended periods of sitting. The gel material offers both support and comfortable cushioning, making even hard chairs much more pleasant to sit on. I also love that the cover is easy to remove and wash. Its lightweight design makes it convenient to move between different chairs. All in all, it is a practical and comfortable cushion for anyone looking to improve their sitting experience.

  • Highly recommended.

This product has added a new level of comfort to my office chair. I enjoy using it during long hours of desk work because it provides excellent support without being too firm. It is also easy to move between my office chair, dining chair, and other suitable seats. The cover is easy to remove and wash, which is very practical for daily use. I appreciate that it requires no complicated installation—simply place it on the seat and adjust it as needed.

  • Very comfortable and supportive!

I am so glad I kept looking until I found this seat cushion; it's exactly what I needed. SI joint pain. This cushion is perfect for taking the strain off of the ligaments and pelvis. I used to be in so much pain at the end of the day after sitting for a long time, but now that I'm using this seat pad that isn't happening. It's so much better than memory foam because it actually supports me while still feeling soft and squishy. Also, it never gets hot because there's air flow through the hexagonal rubber (or is it some other material?) structure and through the removable cover.

If Your Tailbone Never Quite Healed

A fall on the ice. A baby. One long flight. Everyone said it would heal in a few weeks, and it’s been with you ever since.

Now every chair is a countdown. An hour in, you’re shifting, perched on one side, leg tucked under you until it falls asleep. The foam cushion you bought went flat in a month.

HexFloat™ lets your tailbone float over an open cutout, on two layers of honeycomb gel that spring back instead of flattening. Get through the workday, the drive home and Saturday’s game without thinking about it once.

Your Cushion Covers the Chair. Your Tailbone Still Hits It.

Most cushions just add a layer between you and the seat. Your tailbone still takes the weight, only with a little padding on top.

Then the foam starts to give. A few weeks in, there’s a dent right where you sit, and your tailbone is back on the hard chair. So you lean, shift and perch on one side until your leg falls asleep.

HexFloat™ works differently. The cutout leaves open space under your tailbone, and DualCell Float™ (two layers of honeycomb gel) holds the rest of you up without flattening. Your tailbone floats instead of sitting on the chair.

How Much Have You Already Spent Trying to Sit Comfortably?

A donut cushion. A memory foam one that went flat. Maybe a pricier one that kept sliding off your chair. Each one felt like the answer for about two weeks.

And the “real” fixes seem out of reach: $600 medical cushions, a $1,000 ergonomic chair. Meanwhile you’re still shifting in your seat every afternoon.

HexFloat™ costs less than one month of trial and error, and you have 30 days to decide. If it’s not for you, we refund you in full. Keep the cushion.

       Frequently Asked Questions

Most cushions with a cutout are made of foam, and foam goes flat, so within weeks your tailbone is back on the chair. HexFloat™ combines the cutout with two layers of honeycomb gel that spring back every time you stand up. The cutout keeps open space under your tailbone, and the gel keeps it there.

It isn’t made to sink. Memory foam slowly compresses under body heat and weight until it keeps a permanent dent. Honeycomb gel flexes under you and returns to shape when you stand up. Press it with your palm and let go: it pops right back.

It’s firmer than foam on purpose: it holds you up instead of letting you sink into it. It flexes where you sit, but it’s support, not a pillow. Give it 2–3 days. Most of the difference shows up at the end of a long day, not in the first five minutes.

Narrow U-shaped cushions put all your weight on a thin strip, and that’s what makes hips ache. HexFloat™ supports the full width of your seat and thighs, leaving open only the area under your tailbone. If you’re not used to sitting supported, start with a few hours a day.

It actually feels cool when you first sit down, then warms to your body within a minute or so. Because the honeycomb is open, air moves through the cells instead of getting trapped like in solid foam, so it doesn’t build up heat the way foam does. Prefer a warmer feel? Keep the cover on. Like any cushion, it will warm up if you leave it in a car in direct sun.

The underside of the cover has a non-slip grip, so it stays in place on office chairs, car seats and wooden chairs.

You’ll sit about 2 inches higher. On an office chair, lower the seat one notch. In the car, drop the seat slightly. On dining chairs and bleachers, the extra height usually helps.

It measures 16" × 13" × 2" and fits standard office chairs, dining chairs, car seats, bleachers and church pews. It’s light enough to take from the desk to the car to the game.

The cover follows the shape of the cushion. The edge with the small notch is the back: place it against the backrest so the cutout sits right under your tailbone. The cover is one smooth piece of fabric, so you won’t see the cutout from the outside, but it’s there underneath: when you sit, the fabric gives into the open space, so the cutout works with the cover on. Want even more open space under your tailbone? You can use the gel without the cover.

Unzip the cover and machine-wash it cold, then let it air-dry. You can rinse the gel with mild soap and water and let it air-dry before putting the cover back on.

It may. The cushion is sealed for shipping, so when you first unzip it you might notice a new-product smell. Take the cover off and leave both pieces in a ventilated room for 12–24 hours and it fades. Rinsing the gel with mild soap and water helps too.
